The Rush series, like Midway's other racing titles, is intended to be a very arcade-like take on the art of driving, embracing the speed of the sport without having to deal with the nuance and difficulty of the real thing.
It is a port of the arcade title, which was released in 1999 and became another racing game hit for Midway. San Francisco Rush 2049 is the first entry in Midway's Rush series to take place in the future.
So warm up the engine, check the turbocharger, make sure your wings are working, and hit the sloping, winding, mixed-up streets of San Fran, circa 2049. Not only will the streets of San Francisco be more insane than they are now, but the souped-up supercars that you strap yourself into will also be a touch on the crazy side. If you think San Francisco streets are crazy now, just wait 50 years.
